The Broad Prize is awarded each year to honor urban school districts that demonstrate the greatest overall performance and improvement in student achievement while reducing achievement gaps among low-income students and students of color.
Featuring superintendents from four finalist districts: Frank Till, Cumberland County Schools of North Carolina; Michael Lin, Corona-Norco Unified School District in Riverside County, Calif.; Cindy Marten, San Diego Unified School District; Terry Grier, Houston Independent School District.
